System Overview
SAP Concur T&E (Travel & Expense) is a cloud-based solution that automates and manages business travel and expense processes for organizations. It is widely used to streamline the submission, approval, and auditing of employee travel and expense claims.
Problem Statement
No current mechanism to audit fraud effectively. SAP solution is too expensive.
Expected Outcome
Develop a continuous auditing platform for Travel & Entertainment (T&E) expense data, to allow Internal Audit/ Global Controllers to assess T&E activities, identify trends, flag anomalies, and tag policy exceptions in real time. Create alerts. Develop a powerful tool for detecting fraud, anomalies, and waste in travel and expense activities. Each analytic visual is designed to surface specific risk indicators, enabling auditors to proactively identify and investigate suspicious behaviors and transactions.
- Creation of a T&E monitoring report will enhance the Internal Audit team’s effectiveness and efficiency in auditing T&E expenses
- Ability to detect and prevent fraud, waste, and abuse in the company in real time​
- Provide insights and utility for improving Travel Audit processes in a targeted and risk-based manner
